Go to the western restanrant

Today is a sunny day I get up very early because I went to the bed at about 8 yesterday. The reason why I get up so early is I would go to Tocos to have lunch (the main reason for me to go there is to go there is we need to go there to make the movie) and I bring my computer there to waist time there. The tocos is a both Chinese and western restaurant. So there is a lot of kinds of food includs the noodle like beef noodle and also the beef. So I am not sure what kind of restaurant is.
The environment in the restaurant is a little like the French environment it give us a feeling of the romantic. The light there is not bright so it can make us feel comfortable . I thing if you want to have dinner with your girlfriend tocos is good place for you to go and if you go there on Friday with Jian Hang Long card (kind of bank’s card) you can have an half discount on your bill . today I haven’t choose the beef there because the beef there is too expensive so I choose a kind of rice.
I suggest you to go there to have dinner with your girlfriend but if you want to go there have dinner you should order the seat or there will be no seats to have dinner it will be very impress for you.

Jiang Su Art Musreum

Today I went to the Jiang us art museum with mike, Stephen, Richard, bobby to watch the work of art in it. Jiang Su Art Museum is near the people’s Great Hall. After having the English festival’ show. We just go there to see the work of art. One of the most important reasons for us to go there is that it is free for us to go to Jiang Su Art Museum. If you want to go there you just need to get a free ticket at the gate of the Museum. The work of art in it is very attractive to me because the work of art is all penmanship (this is art of writing Chinese characters whit a writing brush) All of the penmanship are written by one person. Although I don’t know who write this penmanship, I know he is a student from Nan Jing frogien language school. There are so many kind of penmanship. (The penmanship can divide into many kinds---cursive script, regular script, this kind of script is the standard form of writing evolved from the official script and the other penmanship is all very strange. Some I have never seen before. The reason why I was attracted by this penmanship is I have also learned about penmanship when I was young but I have just learned about both cursive script and regular script. I think Jiang Su Art Museum is a good place to visit not only because it is free but also for the things that they shown are close to us.

Club

The high school is different from secondary school. The high school pays much more attention to our hobbies and we have much more spare time to bring up our hobbies. In Nan Jing forging language school there are lots of clubs such as badminton club, fun club, drama club, bicycle club, volunteer club and in summer holiday there is a dragon boat club.
In these clubs I just join two of them, one is the volunteer club and another one is dragon boat club. In summer when we were having the summer camp the grad 11 student come to our classroom and ask us that is there anybody want to join the dragon boat club but none of us answer them so they try to encourage us to join the dragon boat club. The people they choose to encourage are almost very strong and I am one of their aims then I join them. The train for the dragon boat is not interesting but a little boring. We train it at the xuan wu lake. There is a train base especially for the people like us to do some practice and the teacher is also invited from the train base. The dragon boat is not very big but it is very long. It can carry twenty-six people (include the drummer-the people who play the drum on the dragon boat). At first we just train near the lake, we use the oar to row and the teacher told us how to boat easier, he said that you have to row with all your body. It is very difficult to do like that especially to row with your waist. For the several days we just train to row and the teacher guidance us wrong that we do. After practicing this we start to row the dragon boat, the first time is always very exciting. But infect it is not so happy to row the dragon boat in the lake. Usually I will feel my arm ache after rowing for about 500m and I can just try my best to keep rowing for 1250m
So the teacher let us practice and practice. We still practice doing this until the dragon boat match over.
The other club volunteer club is much more interesting than the dragon boat club. The first time we have the club activity is the second weekend. We arrived at the blind school at about 9:00 a.m. I think this activity is the best of all the activities. This time our aim is to teach the blind students English. It is much more difficult for them to learn English than us. If they want to know a word they have to us their memory to memorized the word not only how to spill it but also how to read it because they can’t see so it is difficult. we have to learn like them do not give up easily.

Have lunch in French restaurant

I ate in a French restaurant in lunchtime near cool mountain park on December, 20th.I liked the food there very much because of the different eating environment. We ate in a room which painted red. We sat in a small table with a candle in the centre of table. The seat is soft and can be rotated. There were two paintings hanging on the wall. They were all paintings of grapes. We know that France is famous for its grape wine. I felt very comfortable and interested to eat inside the room.However, the process of eating are quiet different. French cuisine paid more attention on the enjoyment of eating than to eat to be full.Therefore, they usually eat some snacks and drink some soups at first instead of eating rice to make full like Chinese food such as vegetable salad. After that, they started to provide main food like roasted chicken and cakes. It took us most of the time to wait and it’s almost four times of the eating part. I think maybe French love to enjoy their meal rather than to eat to be full.I heard that there were many French people in Nanjing who lived near the French restaurant often enjoy their dinner there.The service was quiet good the waitress stands by our table to dump drinks to our glass bottle and we can call for help at anytime by pressing the help bottom on our table,then,the waitress would come immediately.I would like recommend people who like enjoy things to have a try in this restaurant

Institute of sculpture art of Nanjing University

On December 4th,our class went to the Nanjing university to see Chinese traditional sculpture of one popular artist named Wu Weishan.When I came into the exhibition room, I saw a bright title of exhibition ‘Institute of sculpture art of Nanjing University’.I was really attracted by those cultural figures sculptures; suddenly I saw a most beautiful one which I like the most. I came closely to the work of art and want to see the sculpture more clearly, it says ‘the statue of Laos’ on the introduction and it’s made in year 2000.The sculpture is made of a special kind of dark green clay and it’s old man standing and put his left hand index finger up, he wears silk long ancient Chinese clothing like a blouse. After watching it carefully, I realize that the subject of the sculpture is the famous Chinese man who set up Dao religion in Qing dynasty in ancient China named Laozi.He has a smile on his face and his silk blouse is like the rainfall.I watched it in detail the artist made it with circle, rectangle and triangle. The color of the sculpture is the same color of the special clay; it uses straight line and mostly uses curve lines to draw the folded clothes. The texture he used is the head on the top the goes the bodies and the clothes. The same as a real man.A guide Zhu interpret my favorite sculpture Laos, he told me why Lazio’s sculpture is like this.First,Laozi’s left hand index finger put up mainly because of the Dao religion he set up. In the Dao religion, it says that everything in the universe was created by one thing.Second, the silk clothes he wears looks like water falls from the mountain. It also relates to the Dao religion, it says however the water is soft, smooth and liquid; it can destroy things such as the flood can inundate the villages. It embodies the soft thing can defeat hard thing in some ways in Dao religion. It also embodies that doing nothing is better than doing anything sometimes.After he interprets, I feel that the art is beautiful not only because of its beautiful image but also because of the Chinese history and culture in it and this makes me more proud of the talent of Weismann and his art work. The art work makes me thing about the Chinese culture and brings me to the Qing dynasty to se Laos and I started to be interested in the Dao religion. In my experience, I thought of a badminton competition I joined, when I played with a merciless player I didn’t use my mind to play ,I only use my force finally I lost the game. I think it is like “hard thing can be defeated by the soft thing’ in Dao religion.I like the artwork ‘he statue of Laos’ as I said in the first three paragraphs because it let’s me know the Chinese culture more and teaches me a lot of truth to let me know how to deal with things in the society in the future. I think most people would like it because it spreads the traditional Chinese culture to people and tackles them many truths they have realized or not.

THe Taming of the Shrew

The Taming of the Shrew written by William Shakespeare depicts the common roles of men and women in the early seventeenth century. Shakespeare writes of Petruchio and Kate, a male and female who sharply oppose each other. Petruicho must "tame" his wife Kate without breaking her true inner spirit. Shakespeare touches on Kate's changing character and allows her to undergo three phases: Kate's character in the beginning, the methods Petruicho uses to tame Kate and the final outcome (how Kate has changed). The Taming of the Shrew unravels to reveal a wild beastly Katharine lacking respect for her family, herself and others around her. Kate is a very outspoken and vulgar woman without respect to authority. Katharine, although depicted as a beautiful woman quickly becomes the talk of Padua. Kate has found that if she is loud and obnoxious she can have her way. She screams and grunts and pushes those who she does not get along with. The general character of Katharine seems to be that of a small child. Peturicho's methods of pursuit in some cases border along the lines of torture. Peturicho manipulates and exploits Kate's character in order to change her outward actions. Although Peturicho does not want to change Kate's inward thoughts, he does not want to break her spirit. The greatest example can be quoted below. Petruchio says, "Thy gown's Why, aye. Come, tailor, let us see'st. / O mercy, God! What masquing stuff is here's / What's this's A sleeve's Tis like a demi-cannon. / What, up and down, carved like an apple tart's / Here's snip and nip and cut and slish and slash, Like to a censer in a barber's shop." (4.3.86-92) Petruciho uses the beautiful gown to show Kate that she will no longer have her way. Petruicho also uses several other instances to tame Kate. Petruicho is "fashionably late" to his wedding with Katharine and upon arrival is dresed as a jester. Petruciho "kidnaps" Kate from her wedding reception, and upon arrival to his home only allows Kate to smell the delicious food. Petruicho conduct himself in this manner to show Kate how she looks and behaves. After taming the woman that he loved, it became obvious that Petruchio had overcome his pursuit in life. Petruchio had been succesful in changing Kate's outward actions and boasted to his friends in the ending lines. Petruchio had changed Kate, but allowed her to retain her spirit. Kate spoke the words that Petruchio had trained her to speak, but spoke with vigor and malice.Kate says, "Fie, fie, unknit that threatening unkind brow / and dart not scornful glances from those eyes / to wound thy lord, thy king, thy governor. / It blots thy beauty as frosts do bite the meads, / Thy husband is thy lord, thy life, thy keeper, Thy head, thy sovereign'sne that cares for thee, And for thy maintenance commits his body to painful labor both by sea and land, (5.2.145-149) To conclude Petruchio clearly achieved his goal, and "tamed the shrew" of his life. Katharine's father, friends, and townsmen and women were greatly surprised with Petruicho's victory over the nasty woman they once knew. Petruicho had certainly improved upon Kate's character in the beginning. His methods trained or molded Kate into a proper woman of the time. Katharine had become both tame and submisive to her husband.

The meaning of the garden is that to use part of the plot, some blocks, pond, trees and esthetics’ rule to create a place for people to enjoy.


Second let us talk about the oldest form of the garden.
The oldest form of the garden are ‘苑’it meaning there are both places to play and live and another one is pekmera (old Egypt) this is the oldest form of western gardens.

The most famous garden in china is su zhou garden so let us talk about Su Zhou Garden
